David Cameron urges a stop to 'murder' in Libya

The prime minister has said coalition forces will do everything they can to stop what he called the "murder" of Libyan civilians by Colonel Gaddafi.

Speaking in Paris ahead of a meeting with French President Nicholas Sarkozy, Mr Cameron said he would not rule out giving weapons to Libyan rebels in the future.

The prime minister's comments follow a summit in Doha where a newly formed international "contact group" on Libya called for Col Gaddafi to stand down as leader.
