April heat spells trouble for French farmers
French farmers have been badly affected by Europe's unusually warm weather this spring.
One of the hottest and driest Aprils on record has parched farmland, reduced water reserves and damaged crops.
Emergency measures have been imposed in many parts of the country.
The lack of water has affected people on the ground, as farmer Jean-Pierre Brazzalotto and fish farmer Remy Bidon explain.
David Chazan reports from Paris.
