Greeks continue to protest amid default warnings

Thousands of protesters in Greece have gathered outside the parliament in Athens to protest at the prospect of further budget cuts.

It comes as the Greek prime minister appealed for national unity, warning that the country risks defaulting on its debts unless a series of new austerity measures are pushed through parliament.

The BBC's Europe editor Gavin Hewitt reports from Athens.
