Protesters clash with police in Madrid

At least 20 people have been injured during clashes between police and protesters outside the interior ministry in Madrid.

It is believed seven police officers are amongst the 20 injured.

Police had stopped the demonstrators, known as "the indignants", from entering a square which has become a focus of anti-government protests.

They are complaining about the government's handling of the economy and high unemployment.
