Italy's students protest against cuts to education system

Thousands of students have taken to the streets in dozens of cities across Italy to protest against government cuts to the education system.

Paint bombs were thrown at police by some masked protesters.

The students chanted "if you block our future, we will block the city" as they marched towards the education ministry.

Jonathan Josephs reports.
