Ukrainians react to Tymoshenko's jail sentence over gas deal

A court in the Ukraine has sentenced the country's former prime-minister Yulia Tymoshenko to seven years in jail.

A judge ruled the ex-prime minister had criminally exceeded her powers when she signed a gas deal with Russia in 2009.

Mrs Tymoshenko said the charges were politically motivated.

There was a mixed reaction to the verdict on the streets of Kiev.
