Greece strikes as parliament prepares to vote on spending cuts
Police in the Greek capital are bracing themselves for another day of strikes following demonstrations and violence in the capital on Wednesday.
The parliament looks set to seal its second round of spending cuts which are the cause of a bitter division in Greece, as people have taken to the streets in vast numbers, determined to resist any further economic pain.
The BBC's Gavin Hewitt said the people who carried out the violence appeared to be a small number compared with the amount of protesters who were on the streets.
