Ireland: A look ahead to Thursday's presidential election

On Thursday Ireland goes to the polls in the country's presidential election.

The seven candidates include Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness, whose IRA past has been one of the main features of the contest.

The country's economic future has also taken centre stage.
