After months of deadlock Belgium may soon have a government
It has been a record 533 days since Belgium held an election and still there is no government in place, but that may be about to change.
Financial markets and rating agencies have been pressing the country to create an effective government capable of carrying out structural reforms and reducing debt.
Eli Di Rupo, chief negotiator, said that budget plans had been agreed.
