Russian elections: Putin votes and polls close

Votes are being counted in Russia's parliamentary elections as Prime Minister Vladimir Putin prepares to stand again for the presidency.

The Kremlin insists the poll is free and fair, but election monitors have claimed their work has been disrupted.
