Turkey admits warplanes probably hit the wrong targets

Turkey's ruling party has admitted that warplanes which killed 35 people in northern Iraq probably hit the wrong targets.

A spokesman said initial reports suggest that most of the victims were smugglers and not Kurdish separatist guerillas.

He promised that there would be no cover up if it turned out that a mistake had been made.
