Sarkozy to meet unions in hope to build 'new growth model'
French President Nicolas Sarkozy will meet with unions to discuss reforms to boost employment and competitiveness.
He wants to build "a new growth model", looking at labour reforms to reinvigorate the French economy, rather than another austerity plan.
Sarkozy is hoping to pass a bill on the measures next month before facing the presidential election which begins in April.
