Mass rallies 'show Russia is divided' over Putin

Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets in Russia's capital Moscow in protest at Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's grip on power.

But supporters of Mr Putin, who will stand in next month's presidential election, also turned out if force to hold their own rally in a different location.

The BBC's Daniel Sandford in Moscow said that the rallies show Russia is divided.
