Spanish town to grow cannabis to pay debt

The Spanish village of Rasquera has leased a plot of land to grow cannabis in an effort to clear its 1.3 million euros debt.

The funding for planting the controversial herb will come from a Barcelona cannabis users' association over the next two years.

However, Spanish authorities are still looking into the legality of the initiative.

Eric Camara reports.
