Anders Breivik rejects court verdict but will not appeal

Anders Breivik has rejected the 21 year prison sentence handed to him by a Norwegian court for his attacks in central Oslo and on an island youth camp last year.

Breivik said he could not accept the decision because he did not view the court as legitimate.

However, he said he would not appeal as that would also legitimise the decision.

Presiding Judge Wenche Elizabeth Arntzen had to cut off Breivik as he attempted to address "all militant nationalists" as he spoke in court.

The Norwegian was found to be sane, and convicted of terrorism and premeditated murder at the end of the trial.
