Protesters throw petrol bombs at Greek austerity demo

A general strike is under way in Greece in protest against the next round of spending cuts, required in return for another bailout instalment.

Taxi drivers, ferry workers, doctors, teachers and air traffic controllers are among those taking part.

A stand-off which saw protesters throw petrol bombs at police in Athens has now ended.

The BBC's Mark Lowen in Syntagma Square said Greeks felt "pushed to breaking point".
