Portugal protests against austerity

Protesters have taken to the streets in Portugal to rally against government-imposed austerity measures and tax hikes.

Students and teachers gathered in front of the education ministry in the capital, Lisbon, to protest against education cuts.

The BBC's Alison Roberts said there were a number of different groups, including health workers, marching through the centre of Lisbon.
