Disastrous eurozone exit avoided says Cypriot minister

Cyprus has struck a last-minute deal to prevent the collapse of its banking system.

It agreed a 10bn-euro bailout after tense negotiations in Brussels with international lenders.

Cypriot Finance Minister Michalis Sarris said it was the best possible outcome in the circumstances and his country had avoided a disastrous exit from the eurozone.
