'US spied on Merkel since 2002'

The German magazine Der Spiegel has published new allegations about US spying on Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Citing secret documents, the magazine says her phone may have been bugged since 2002, and was still on a National Security Agency surveillance list weeks before President Obama visited Germany in June.
