Paris shootings: Liberation photographer shot 'on first day'

A 27-year-old photographer shot at the offices of Liberation was working his first shift for the newspaper, its deputy editor has confirmed.

Francois Sergent told BBC News that he found the man lying in reception, after being shot. He is in a serious condition.

A manhunt is under way in Paris following the shooting. It is thought the suspect is the same man who opened fire at the headquarters of the Societe Generale bank.
