Ukraine clashes: Fires continue to burn in Kiev square

Fires are still burning in Kiev's Independence Square after a night of violent clashes between anti-government protesters and riot police.

Black plumes of smoke are rising from burning tyres, which are forming the front line between the two sides.

Daniel Sandford says the protests are "easily the worst" seen since the protests began - and Ukraine's worst day of violence in 70 years.
