Ukraine clashes: 'Dismay' sparks EU sanction talks

The EU says it expects to agree sanctions on those behind "repression" in the Ukraine, after renewed violence left 26 people dead.

Police are making a push to take back control of Kiev's Independence Square, which has been occupied by protesters since December.

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said "targeted measures" would be discussed at an emergency meeting on Thursday.
