Ukraine crisis: President Yanukovych slams 'state coup'

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has refused to stand down, calling the uprising by opposition protesters a "coup".

In a pre-recorded address, broadcast before a vote by MPs to remove him from office and hold elections on 25 May, he accused protesters of "vandalism and banditry".

He also compared the protesters' actions to the Nazis'.
