Government in Kiev 'must step down'

Ukraine's interim authorities appeal for unity, promising to meet some demands of pro-Russian protesters occupying buildings in the east.

Ukraine's interim authorities have appealed for national unity and promised to meet some of the demands of pro-Russian protesters in the east of the country.

The move came after armed militias refused to vacate buildings they had occupied in at least nine cities.
