Putin in Serbia for Belgrade liberation day parade

Vladimir Putin watched on as Belgrade held a large-scale military parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its liberation.

More than 3,000 Serbian soldiers, along with tanks, aircraft and ships, took part in the parade which celebrates the liberation of the Serbian capital from the Nazis.

Soviet soldiers played a key role in freeing the city.

The Russian president stood alongside Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, and re-emphasised Russia's support for Serbia, including its stance on Kosovo.
