Armistice Day: How the world remembered the fallen

Ceremonies have taken place across the world to mark the anniversary of the World War One armistice.

Poignant events were held in the UK, in northern France, Belgium and Afghanistan.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One, 70 years since the D-Day landings and the end of Britain's conflict in Afghanistan.
