Pope and Patriarch issue pledge to support Mid-East Christians

The Pope has issued a joint call with the eastern Orthodox Church for Christians and Muslims to work together to stop the killing in the Middle East.

On the final day of his visit to Turkey, Pope Francis signed a joint declaration with Patriarch Bartholomew I calling for "an appropriate response" from the international community.

The BBC's religious affairs correspondent Caroline Wyatt reports from Istanbul.
