UN says record numbers cross sea in search of asylum

The United Nations Refugee Agency says record numbers of people are making risky journeys across the sea in search of asylum.

Ahead of a meeting in Geneva on protection at sea, the UN has warned that many countries seem to be losing their focus on saving lives, and thinking instead about controlling immigration.

Imogen Foulkes reports from Geneva.
