French press helping Charlie Hebdo magazine

The response from the French press to the attack on Charlie Hebdo has been pretty consistent, with most agreeing that Islamist extremism needs to be reported in an assertive way.

Journalists and cartoonists have been defending the right of Charlie Hebdo to publish its controversial cartoons on a range of subjects.

Some have also created their own hard-hitting cartoons in response.

Huw Edwards examines the response and talks to Le Monde's editor.
