Russia and Ukraine reach deal over who pays rebel gas bill

Moscow and Kiev have come to an agreement over energy, securing gas deliveries to Ukraine until the end of March.

A dispute over who should pay the fuel bill for rebel-held areas in the east had led to fears of another 'gas war'.

This could have threatened supplies to the European Union as well as Kiev.
