Bus GPS took skiers 600km away from the slopes

Some Belgian skiers and snowboarders fell asleep on a bus heading to a ski resort but woke up in the wrong La Plagne, 600km from the Alps.

The driver had entered the address of a small, snow-free town in south-west France, rather than the ski resort of the same name.

Apparently the coach driver complained that there were too many 'Plagnes' to choose from on his GPS.

One of the organisers of the trip, Lobke van Eijk, explained that the tourists "just took it as it came".
