Skier's helmet camera captures moment avalanche hits

A skier in the Alps on the Swiss-French border had to be rescued after he and his friends appeared to be struck by an avalanche.

The incident was filmed by a camera strapped to the helmet of a skier in the group.

The footage apparently shows the moments after they were hit, and the efforts to save the 20-year old.

James Mort was reportedly buried under the snow for an hour before being freed.
