Living on one month's pay for a year

Thousands of workers in Russia have gone without pay for months because of the economic down-turn that has hit hundreds of companies across the country.

Some 2,000 employees at a Russian car-parts maker in Togliatti, 1000km (620 miles) east of Moscow have largely had to fend for themselves for almost a year since their company halted production.
