Italy earthquake: Rescuers race against time

"As time goes by the possibility to find people alive in the rubble decreases," said David Fabi of Italy's National Service of Civil Protection.

The death toll in the Italian earthquake has risen to at least 247 as rescue efforts continue.

Dozens are believed trapped in ruined Amatrice, Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto, in mountainous central Italy.
