Turkey's Erdogan: We don't need the EU

President Erdogan tells the BBC most Turkish people "don't want the EU anymore".

In a interview for BBC World's HARDtalk, President Erdogan of Turkey says it will be "comforting" if the EU rejects his country as a member.

Turkey is "able to stand on its own two feet", he says - and the EU is "not indispensable".

HARDtalk’s Zeinab Badawi met the Turkish strongman for a frank exchange of views.
