Jersey tourism needs political support

Tourism leaders have urged the government to recognise the value of their industry to life in Jersey and the economy.

Forty States members gathered to hear that hospitality firms want support, not subsidies.

The minister responsible for overseeing tourism, Senator Alan Maclean, said it was important for the States of Jersey to work closely with the sector.

BBC Radio Jersey's Francine Jordan-Higgins went along to find out more.
