Demos in Haiti as Preval remains in office
Protesters have taken to the streets of the Haitian capital, Port au Prince, demanding that the outgoing President Rene Preval step down immediately.
Mr Preval's term was supposed to end on Monday but he has received parliamentary approval to stay on after the first round of presidential elections were marred by fraud and corruption.
A new vote is due in March.
