Cable car flies over Rio de Janeiro slum
One of Rio de Janeiro's largest slums - the Complexo do Alemão - is now home to a 3.5 km long cable car system.
It will save residents hours of journey time each day as they avoid steep and narrow roads and twisting stairways on foot.
Last November, the police and army launched a huge operation to drive away drug lords that have blocked the slum's streets for decades.
Eric Camara reports.
