Brazil's economic boom is attracting skilled Europeans
Brazil's economic boom is attracting European professionals who are finding it increasingly difficult to find jobs at home.
Officials say the number of visas granted to Europeans grew 20% in the first quarter of 2011, compared to the same period of 2010.
A recently launched Facebook page offering advice to foreigners willing to work in the country wooed 20,000 followers in just two days.
With eyes set on the 2014 World Cup and hosting the Olympic Games only two years later, not even the prospect of a global economic downturn seems to influence the country's optimism towards the future.
