Peru declares state of emergency over mines protest
Peru's President, Ollanta Humala, has declared a state of emergency in parts of the country's north.
It follows the breaking down of talks between the government and residents in Cajamarca who are against the construction of a huge gold and copper mine, the biggest mining investment in the country's history.
Mattia Cabitza reports from Lima.
