Cuban actors on their 'painful' decision to defect
The two Cuban actors who defected to the United States when they made a stop-over in Miami airport are looking to resolve their legal status to start a new life and to pursue their dreams of acting in Hollywood.
Javier Nunez and Anailin de la Rua were travelling to Tribeca Film Festival in New York, where Nunez would receive an award for his performance in film Una Noche (One Night), which depicts three Cuban teenagers trying to escape the poverty of the island.
According De la Rua, the "painful" decision was taken when they were certain that they would travel to America.
