Chile leader evacuates as second big quake strikes

A powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake has rocked northern Chile, just over 24 hours after an 8.2 tremor killed six people.

President Michelle Bachelet was visiting northern city of Arica, when the aftershock struck and she was forced to leave her hotel.

She praised the Chilean people for reacting calmly and following the advice laid out by authorities.
