Giant cake is served at Rio's 450th birthday party

The city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil has been celebrating its 450th anniversary.

The festivities started with a gun salute at the site where the first Portuguese sailors and colonisers are believed to have landed in 1565.

A 450-metre long birthday cake was shared out among the residents.
