Dominican Republic heads to the polls

Voters in the Dominican Republic will choose their country's next president on Sunday with polls suggesting the incumbent, Danilo Medina of the centrist Dominican Liberation Party, is the favourite.

But concerns about corruption and unemployment in the Caribbean island nation could swing votes to his opponents.
