'Drive by tourism' that hurts Jordan's economy

The ancient city of Petra in Jordan attracts millions of tourists every year; but few local people see any real benefit from the tourist trade because visitors often stay in chain hotels and travel with big tour companies.

In response the authorities have launched a plan to use the money generated to pay for local health care and education.

So how does it work? Ben Thompson went to Petra to find out.
