Cairo's grand old villas crumbling into ruins
Half a century ago, the grand and ornate villas of Cairo made it one of the most beautiful cities in the Middle East.
Those lucky enough to be born into a certain class would grow up and enjoy a sparking social life in what were almost miniature palaces.
Now many are crumbling ruins and many more have already been demolished.
The BBC's Jon Leyne took a look at the remnants of Cairo's glorious heritage.
