Yemeni adviser: 'We would like help' to battle al-Qaeda

The authorities in Yemen say they are committed to combating terrorism in the Arabian Peninsula, and have said it needs international help in order to do so.

Yemen is facing mounting multi-national pressure to battle al-Qaeda, but some doubt its ability to do so as it faces social, economic and political problems at home.

Dr Mohamed Qubaty, adviser to the prime minister of Yemen spoke to the BBC about Yemen's attempts to deal with terrorism and the help needed to combat it.
