Fate still unclear of woman sentenced to death by stoning
Despite growing international condemnation, the fate of an Iranian woman sentenced to death by stoning is still unclear.
Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani was sentenced to death in 2006 for the crime of adultery.
Her plight came to international prominence earlier in 2010 when it emerged that she was to be executed by stoning as punishment for adultery, after appeals for clemency were denied.
