Police break up Bahrain protests
Security forces in Bahrain have dispersed thousands of anti-government protesters in Pearl Square in the centre of the capital, Manama.
Hundreds of riot police using tear gas and batons moved into the square before dawn on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, pictures showed police in control of the square while a column of tanks was seen moving into the heart of the city. Ian Pannell reports from Bahrain.
