Libya's deputy envoy to the UN: 'What's happening is genocide'

Colonel Gaddafi's 40-year military rule is under increasing pressure amid more protests and defections from the regime.

The Libyan delegation at the United Nations is calling for him to step down after unconfirmed reports suggested more than 200 protesters had been killed.

Libya's deputy envoy to the UN Ibrahim Dabbshi told the BBC that what was happening in the country was "a real genocide".
